Job Summary:

Reporting to the President, BWIS the Vice President, People will be responsible for championing People Excellence across the BW Integrated Systems division to achieve People and Performance in Harmony. As a key member of the Executive Leadership, this individual will work to strategically align people initiatives with business needs and be a critical steward of the experiences of our 750+ team members. This inspirational leader will be a key partner to the President and member of the Executive leadership team which sets the strategy and priorities to strengthen our people-centric culture and business performance across six manufacturing facilities worldwide.Job Responsibilities:As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, strategically align people initiatives with business needs, and serve as a consistent advocate for BWIS team members.Lead, support, guide and develop BWIS People team across 6 sites.Serve as a key partner to the Packaging Platform VP of People, and build strong partnerships with the Barry-Wehmiller Corporate People Team.Continually work to align legacy policies and practices across locations, to strengthen People team effectiveness and drive consistent team member experience.Maintain knowledge of domestic and relevant global HR policies, programs, laws and issues, and serve as an advisor to business leaders as needed.Develop and manage People budget and key performance indicators.Develop and strengthen recruitment, on-boarding and retention strategies and implementation plans.Manage vendor relationships for contingent workforce, inclusive of negotiating rates and fees that align to business goals.Continually assess the consistency and competitiveness of compensation programs and practices, and take action to address opportunities.Oversee divisional safety and wellbeing programs, with the goal of sending every team member everywhere home safe, well and fulfilled.Lead divisional succession planning process, to build talent bench and proactively address gaps. Promote cultural awareness and global understanding between domestic and global operations.Participate in and/or lead special projects as needed.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field, and a minimum of 10 years’ progressive leadership experience.Success in formal leadership roles (leading, coaching, motivating direct reports) as well as leading through influence, without formal authority across multiple locations.Manufacturing and/or operations experience preferred.Experience with strategic planning a plus.Applicable knowledge of employment legislation, wage and hour laws, and safety regulations – advanced HR certification (s) preferred.Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.The following competencies will differentiate top candidates:Critical thinking and decision quality.Business Acumen – ability to understand the business to identify key areas of partnership and action that will result in business improvements.Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills and ability to manage organizational change.Drives results: thinks and acts strategically, leads and communicates effectively in all directions, and drives measurable results.
