We envision a future where Lyft has established a deeper relationship and understanding of our Riders’ context, needs, and preferences to power a more contextual, personalized transportation experience. We want Riders to be able to easily rely on the Lyft home screen to save them time and make it easy for Riders to continually choose Lyft. We work with Product & Design & Science to improve rider experiences. Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate and maintain existing or new elements of our Rider applicationHelp establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and our needsWrite well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable codeAnalyze our internal systems and processes and locate areas for improvement/automationCollaborate with product org stakeholders to execute on projectsParticipate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledgeShare your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practicesCan help lead large projects from idea to positive executionUnblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve resultsThe work responsibilities of this role are expected to take place during business hours in your local Time Zone in the United States.Experience:
Minimum 1 - 3 years of software engineering industry experienceExperience with KotlinExperience with Jetpack Compose, declarative UI development, and creating shared componentsFamiliarity with current design and prototyping tools (Figma, etc).Experience with architecture paradigms like unidirectional and reactive programmingAbility to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team.Benefits:

Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
