a.i. solutions is looking for a Project Engineer to manage and grow a large project on the Flight Dynamics Support Services (FDSS) III contract supporting NASA’s return to the Moon. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.In support of NASA’s new space race, a.i. solutions is developing mission concepts, tools, and flight software for Lunar flight and surface navigation. You could be the talented engineer and leader we are looking for to assist NASA’s Goddard Spaceflight Center (GSFC) in laying the foundation of the road to Mars.Essential Roles & Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and project management support in the areas of spacecraft and mission systems engineering, mission design and analysis, ground system development, and operations.Develop relationships with the customer and team members to ensure delivery of our corporate promise.Manage effective communications between customer, team, peers, and senior management.Perform staffing actions including hiring, transfers, and performance reviews.Execute Task Order change request processes, including modifications to value or support requirements.Ensure tactical project management plans align with larger-scale strategic goals of the mission and company.Promote corporate culture and foster an environment of collaboration and innovation within the team.Identify and develop opportunities for growth and technical or business process improvement.Set clear expectations and assist staff with professional development and self-growth.Participate in corporate initiatives and business development, opportunity capture, and/or proposal generation efforts.Grow and leverage professional network within the aerospace and government contracting industry.Minimum Qualifications:10 years of experience in managing or leading aerospace engineering projects in a related field at NASA, NOAA, USGS, and/or DoD.Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or related discipline.Obtain successful completion of a government background check.US citizenship.Desired Background:Spacecraft flight dynamics experience/knowledge.Satellite operations experience.Ability to give presentations to groups of people in person and via online meetings.Strong written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with missions, team members and management at the appropriate technical level.Demonstrated leadership accomplishments professionally and personally.Proactivity in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact.Experience collaborating with peers, management, and customers.Strong customer service skills.Experience developing and hiring staff, managing budgets, developing schedules, evaluating progress, and updating plans for the timely accomplishment of objectives.PMP Certification.Experience with CMMI and ISO certifications/evaluations.EEO/AA including Vets and Disabled
