The Systems Technician works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and, in accordance with project specific requirements, concentrates efforts on the mechanical and electrical assembly of automated testing equipment.

Essential Functions:
Review assembly Bill of Materials for accuracyMechanical assembly of aluminum extrusion frames per assembly drawingElectrical assembly of low voltage control panel per electrical schematicsMounting / fastening of precision measurement devices used in automated testing equipmentCable routing and terminationInspect and Test Complete System Assemblies:
Test for mechanical robustness and reliabilityTest for low voltage electrical functionalityTest device specific software for correct parameter settings
Operate Metal Fabrication Equipment:
Chop Saw: Cutting aluminum extrusions to desired lengthsDrill Press: Drill and tap holesBridgeport Mill: Counterbore aluminum extrusions / basic mounting bracket fabrication
Perform daily cleanup of production areaFollow standard safety and operating protocolsParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesKnowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
Use basic hand tools for mechanical and electrical assemblySelf-starter with ability to work well with others in a team environmentDetail oriented with strong follow through on various project dutiesEffective time management skillsAbility to lift 50lbsBasic PC skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office (preferred)Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics (preferred)Forklift certification (preferred)High school diploma, technical training with 2+ years' work experience (preferred)
