The firm’s institutional and private clients are based in 50 states and more than 44 countries and territories and are served by over 800 colleagues worldwide, all of whom are equity owners of the firm.Position SummaryBrown Advisory is currently seeking a professional, analytical and detail-oriented individual within our Baltimore or Washington D.C office locations with primary responsibility to become the firm’s subject matter expert on revenue forecasting & reporting. This position is designed to allow for rewarding career growth and opportunities for advancement within a global independent investment management and strategic advisory firm.The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operates as a client asset & firm revenue subject matter expert to provide insights to aid decision making, identification of risks & opportunities & analysis of performance drivers.Create timely financial forecasting through the development of efficient & accurate financial modeling.Provide financial and strategic support, including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, and other projects.Assists with preparation of monthly financial packages and variance analysis against budget and prior period.Partner with accounting for month-end revenue accruals, reporting & performance insights.Partners with finance leadership in business functional areas to develop reporting & insights.Performs analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to business.Continually assess and improve reporting processes to meet the needs of the operating segment.Become a subject matter expert on the functionality of the firm’s financial planning tool suite & complementary applications.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Other ad hoc financial planning and analysis reporting, as necessary.Qualifications:5+ years of corporate finance, with 3+ years in FP&A roles.Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics or related course of study.Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels and areas of the organization.Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.Advanced financial modeling skills and experience required.Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management.Excellent computer skills, particularly in navigating detailed system-generated source reports, downloading and manipulating data, PowerPoint, and Excel.Financial services experience preferred, but not required.Ability to work in an office location.MBA preferred, but not required.BenefitsAt Brown Advisory we offer a competitive compensation package, including full benefits.MedicalDentalVisionWellness program participation incentiveFinancial wellness programGym membership discountsFitness event fee reimbursementCorporate gym membership discountsColleague Assistance ProgramTelemedicine Program (for those enrolled in Medical)Adoption BenefitsDaycare late pick-up fee reimbursementBasic Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment InsuranceVoluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment InsuranceShort Term DisabilityPaid parental leaveGroup Long Term DisabilityPet Insurance401(k) (50% employer match up to IRS limit, 4 year vesting)Brown Advisory is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
