NJMS -Infectious Diseases. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator this position will oversee the implementation of Research Protocols and Research Operations at International Sites. The Research projects include examining the role of M. tuberculosis vesicles on TB disease pathogenesis and understanding the mechanism of diversity in transmission of M. tuberculosis clinical strains.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:Designs and optimizes immunological assays in BSL2 and BSL3 facilities.Analyzes data, presents the results, communicates with collaborators and contributes to drafting manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.Identifies areas of future research and initiate new projects.Contributes to multi-disciplinary studies in the field of tuberculosis.Master’s Degree in a Immunology plus two (2) years of related research experience,OR a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science plus three (3) years of related research experience.A minimum of 5 years of experience in TB workCertifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHands-on experience with immunological assays.Experience in working with mice in the BSL3 facility.Excellent writing skills.Preferred Qualifications
