Service Technician - Essential Duties - Include, but not limited to, the following:

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair accurately.

Follows workshop manual/WIS effectively for all diagnosis and repairs.

Document all steps taken to diagnose and/or repair vehicle on RO.

Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts accurately.

Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order accurately.

Road tests vehicles safely when required and documents road test results/mileage on RO.

Other tasks as assigned.

Service Technician - Education and/or Experience

Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR

Associate degree (A.A.) or (AS) from community college or higher; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR

· Relevant - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications

Service Technician Qualifications:

At least 1-3 years working with European vehicles

Works with fellow co-workers with a positive and team-oriented attitude

Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Excellent organizational skills and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail an accuracy

Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Ability to prioritize job duties to meet deadlines

Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Acceptance by the dealership's Insurance Company as required
