You care.POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of your job position is to load, transport, and unload residents for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all laws and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist passengers with the on-boarding and off-boarding from vehicleTransport passengers to and from destination at assigned times or in case of emergencyProvide customer service and friendly interactions with all passengersComplete pre-inspections before us of vehicleClean van each night, removing daily debrisClean van, inside and out, on a weekly basisMonitor regular maintenance (i.e. oil changes, tire rotations)Practice dependable, regular attendanceMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residentsMust be able to lead, transport, and unload residentsMust be able to communicate and function in and interdisciplinary teamMust be able to demonstrate excellent people skills and organizational skillsMust be well groomed (i.e., no unruly beards, no visible facial rings / piercings, tattoos)Perform all other duties, as assignedSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Google and Microsoft operating system platformsAdministrative and clerical procedures; customer serviceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalentMust have valid driver's licenseMust be insurable by the companyMust possess CNA certificationPrior experience in healthcare or geriatrics preferred but not necessaryWORK ENVIRONMENT:

Involved with residents, associates, and staff under all conditions and circumstancesSubject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, associates, etcMay be assigned to other appropriate positions as necessaryWorks beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, when necessaryIs subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminantsIs subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesMay be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicalsPHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionMust be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentMay be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsMust be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hoursMust be able to lift 50 lbs floor to waist, lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder, lift and carry 50 lbs, and push/pull 50 lbsOTHER:
