DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The CNA assigned to PACU I:Assists in admitting patients to the PACU I area.Attaches monitors and SCDs.Empties and records foleys and drains.Applies warm blankets and ice packs to patients.Performs blood draws and blood sugar checks.Retrieves PCU pump and tubing.Transfers patient from PACU II to the post-surgical departmentThe CNA assigned to PACU II:Assists patients to the bathroom and helps patients in getting dressed.Transports patients to their car.The CNA's Ward Clerk Duties:Performs a chart audit for all patient charges.Maintains PACU forms, files and supplies.Fax physician orders.Call in doctor appointments for patients.Stock the following items: Carts, shelves and supplies Dietary items Oxygen tanksIs responsible for gurney and bed control.Is fully knowledgeable of policies and procedures of Mountain View Hospital.Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.About Mountain View:Mountain View Hospital and our 29 affiliate clinics are committed to providing compassionate, cutting edge care to our patients. Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program. Current BLS certification and renewal as required. Experience: Experience as a CNA preferred. Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills required. Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Mental Capabilities: Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments. Interpersonal: Works well with others. Performance: Can work well under pressure and meet multiple and competing deadlines.
