**Transportation Driver II** **Department** Parking and Transportation **Location** Main Campus The University of Arizona's Parking and Transportation Services department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Transportation Driver II position. This person will drive for our Cat Tran transit operations, transporting passengers throughout campus on predetermined routes. Will operate a multi-passenger ADA-compliant vehicle to transport passengers to and from designated locations locally and regionally in accordance with established safe driving methods and standards (may be required to drive a golf cart). **NOTE: This position will work a 9-month work calendar with summers off.**Incumbent must have Valid Arizona CDL driver's license with passenger endorsement at time of application.Because this position requires you to drive a golf cart type vehicle, you will be exposed to adverse weather including heat and cold.Shift will be from 11AM-8PM, Mon-Fri. Occasional days/weekends, as needed for special events.These positions are part of the mandated drug-testing program. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please .**Duties & Responsibilities*** Operates a variety of multi-passenger vehicles (varies from 14-32 seats) to include utility and golf carts to transport passengers to and from designated University locations and local/regional University-sponsored events in accordance with established schedule.* Performs routine service and maintenance of University vehicle(s) including, but not limited to: fuels vehicle, cleans interior/exterior, checks and replaces vehicle fluids, tires, lights, and wipers to ensure ongoing safe operation of vehicle in accordance with established maintenance standards.* Performs pre and/or post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure compliance with established state regulations and reports mechanical or safety device failures.* Maintains cleanliness of shuttle compound area.* Other duties may be assigned.**Minimum Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience* Must have Valid Arizona CDL driver's license with passenger endorsement* Ability to drive according to the University**Preferred Qualifications** **Benefits Eligible** Yes - Full Benefits **Compensation Type** hourly rate **Job Family** Parking & Transportation **Diversity Statement** At the University of Arizona, we value our inclusive climate because we know that diversity in experiences and perspectives is vital to advancing innovation, critical thinking, solving complex problems, and creating an inclusive academic community.
