A healthcare network in New York is looking to add an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to one of their facilities in Westchester County as their new Assistant Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery.

The Assistant Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery will:

Assure the delivery of quality department /clinical services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory/accreditation agency standardsPromote a positive and professional image and is a role model, coach, mentor, problem solver and resource for staff and peersMaintain 24 hour responsibility for nursing care provided on the unitCollaborate with Physicians and other members of the Health Care Team to assure the delivery of optimum age appropriate patient careParticipate in the development of Evidence based Standards of care for clinical area of responsibilityAssure employee compliance with hospital and Human Resources policies and proceduresAssure that employee competency and education requirements are satisfied as per hospital policyDevelop and submit departmental goals and objectivesDevelop and submit operating and capital budgets and report variances as requiredAssure completion of staff orientation, annual and ongoing competency and education requirements.Conduct staff meetings monthly to update staff and/or address department issues and records meeting minutes for all staffPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:

2+ years of relevant Acute Care experienceBachelor's Degree in NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBLS certificationExperience in a Labor & Delivery role/settingSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills

Certification in area of specialty or Certified Nurse Manager & Leader (CNML)ACLS certificationPrevious experience in a Leadership and/or Management role
