The normal delivery route contains 10-15 boxes/stops. Each route is done once a month and the routes would be assigned to the individual volunteer. A volunteer normally starts with one delivery day per month and can then take on more if they would like. Volunteers use their personal vehicle to make the deliveries and will be paid mileage.** About Commodity and Supplemental Foods****Location:**2309 Euclid AVe, Des Moines, IA 50310, US**Mission Statement**We are in search of volunteers willing to use their personal vehicles (mileage paid) to deliver monthly boxes of food to home bound elderly clients.**Description**We are a program that provides monthly boxes of food, at no charge, designed to be nutritious and to help our client stretch their monthly food budget. Our program has age and income restrictions to be eligible. We have a location that our clients can come shop and pick their groceries and we also offer deliver at no cost to our clients that may be home bound or have transportation issues.**WHEN**We'll work with your schedule. **SKILLS****GOOD FOR*** People 55+**REQUIREMENTS*** Driver's License Needed* Background Check* Must be at least 18* Orientation or Training* Most delivery routes take 1-2 hours to complete.
