www.Spectrio.com .Primary Objective:The Director of Software Engineering is a full stack engineer who is passionate about the Spectrio products and mission while focused on leading the software engineering team, providing guidance, and leading new initiatives to ensure growth and success for the team. The Director of Software Engineering should also be well versed in different aspects of software engineering and design.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.Oversees the daily workflow of the department.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with company leaders to help shape product strategy and deliver impactful products for our customers.Define and maintain technology objectives and initiatives.Lead technology team responsible for all software and hardware.Be a true leader for your team and act as a technical mentor.Manage all technology activities within a department including design, development, production, and testing.Oversee project management process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget.All other duties as assigned.Requirements:5+ years of professional software engineering experience.2+ years of experience directly managing Software Engineers.Experience with OOP and software design skills.Strong ability to develop systems that meet architectural objectives including reusable, scalable code.Manage all engineering activities within a department including design, development, production, and testing.Analytical and detail-oriented with decisive judgment skills.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field preferred.Technical Qualifications:Experience with managing people and projects on multiple tech stacks including: .NET, Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript.Experience in Web Development.Cloud hosting services, specifically Amazon AWS.Mobile development (Android, iPhone).Container services, e.g. Docker.Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.Agile software development methodologies.Experience with managing QA resources.Linux experience a plus.*Position is Remote.
