RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer in Cleveland, OH.Overview:The PSG IT DevOps Engineer manages processes and technologies that enable business value by delivering high quality software at speed and scale. They focus on standardized platforms that are built and managed via automation. They are responsible for the configuration, automation implementation, and support of web solutions in a global environment. You will maintain current or near current levels of software, patches, features, and configurations for the IT systems, supports project teams in delivering new capabilities to our customers, with team members who focus on operational excellence, innovation, delivery, and organizational learning.Strategy & Planning:Support management in the implementation of long-term strategic goals for technologies and related products in conjunction with business requirementsSupport technology platforms in conjunction with business owners and department managersWork with development staff to implement architectures, tuning/coding standards, and quality assurance policies and proceduresAssist with the implementation of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for backup/recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assetsAssist with evaluating software through implementing new software versions, technology, and processesCollaborate with other engineers to align solutions across platformsAcquisition & Deployment:Support Management in ensuring the quality of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterpriseImplement software products and services in support of procurement and development effortsAssist with feasibility studies for system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings, where requiredREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience1+ years of IT experience1+ years of experience with Application Servers or similar installation and performance tuning1+ years of working with web-based architecture and concepts including SSL, Domains, DNS Content delivery networks1+ years of experience with automation and deployment tools (Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions)1+ years of experience building cloud solutions for application implementation1+ years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestrationUnderstand concepts of security related tooling (Web Application Firewall, SAST, DAST)Working knowledge of Apache based Webserver, or NginxUnderstanding of DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing and network conceptsUnderstanding and familiarity with Linux or *nix operating systemsExperience with task automation via scriptingPreferred Qualifications and Skills:Enterprise Content Management System experienceAWS or other cloud experienceUnderstanding of Infrastructure as Code approaches to infrastructure managementUnderstanding of Container security, management, implementation, and orchestration in a cloud environmentAbility to drive innovation across the team and departmentApplication Performance Management (Dynatrace or similar)Good knowledge of LDAP concepts and experience working with a LDAP DirectoryExperience with Agile development and release practicesThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
