Role Overview

Under the direction of the Strategic Sourcing Manager, the Procurement Specialist will assist with the procurement process, including contract management, negotiations, sourcing, supplier management, preparation of purchase orders, invoice validation, analytics, and other activities as directed. This role reports to Nexus Circular’s Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Support daily procurement requestsPlanning, creating, and processing timely requisitions and purchase ordersReview, manage and track supplier issues/discrepanciesCreate, update, and manage Material List report according to orders receivedReview, track and follow open ordersManage Invoice validation processResponsible for expediting and monitoring delivery schedulesDeveloping strong relationships with key suppliers and measure suppliers’ performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service levelCommunicating with suppliers daily and organizing meetings and projects as needed to resolve supply issuesWorking with other internal departments such as finance, sales, and operations to resolve issues and concernsKeep track of all inventories on handResolve any purchase order and invoice issuesActive participation and contribution to Procurement groupOther supply chain support as directedMinimum Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fieldMinimum three years’ experience in procurementDesired Skills:

Demonstrated ability of effective problem solving and strong communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a cross functional teamAbility to establish and maintain rapport with others, both internally and externallyDon’t meet all the listed requirements?
