Role Overview

This is a key role within the Procurement function driving a high-performance culture and setting the standard for excellence. The Procurement Specialist/CapEX Buyer will be responsible for the production, approval and delivery of strategic sourcing projects and cost reducing process/supplier improvement projects, and the Source to Contract process working closely with project stakeholders.

As a member of this team, you will be expected to develop, outline, and execute projects in accordance with agreed upon deliverables, timings, and budgets.

This role reports to Nexus Circular’s Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Engaging with key category stakeholders and suppliers to develop sourcing strategies to drive savings and value to the company, within the Capex categories.

Develop a deep knowledge of CapEx categories and procurement process to align stakeholders to drive compliance and best practices.

Building, managing and complying with the Source to Contract (S2C) end to end process, including tender build, tender evaluation, recommendation, contract negotiations, award, and contract execution.

Responsible for monitoring and managing supplier performance with respect to cost, quality, delivery timeliness, etc.

Manage KPI’s to measure, control and benchmark procurement activities including savings, project and contract trackers, spend under category strategy.

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that will generate value through increasing supplier performance or capabilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of previous experience in industries such as Petro-Chem, Paper Mill, or Industrial/Manufacturing.

2+ years of supply chain operations/procurement/sourcing experience including supplier/vendor relationship, stakeholder management, and/or CapEX experience

Professional certification CPSM or CIPS are highly preferred (completed or in process).

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

Able to meet targets and deadlines; Results oriented.

Strong negotiation skills and a track record of taking ownership and driving results.

Desired Skills:

Experience working with global Indirect categories such as Capex and Engineering professional services are highly desirable.

Experience working within a Strategic Sourcing Environment and category management process.

Experience working with e-procurement tools to find, evaluate & select the best vendors to drive savings, increase value & manage risk

Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems, incorporating data gathered from a variety of sources.

Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and analytical platforms, including but not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivots and V-Lookups

Experience managing cross-functional and cross-business projects within a matrix business environment, including an understanding of the barriers to change and how to overcome them.
