Job Title: Affordable Housing Compliance and Training Specialist

Work Location: Troy, MI (On-site only)
AGM Management
is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Affordable Housing Compliance and Training Specialist to assist with the Project Based Section 8 and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Regulations. The Affordable Housing Compliance and Training Specialist takes the lead role in training and support for Property Managers throughout 14 states. This position is key to upholding a positive Company image and fostering a sense of community among on-site staff and tenants alike. This position would be based out of our Troy, MI office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and implement appropriate training materials for Property Managers.
Hosts weekly compliance training.
Identifies and creates customized training for Compliance Tier I members.
Processes annual and interim certifications and unit transfers.
Processes Gross Rent Changes.
Processes Housing Assistance Payment vouchers.
Voucher Reconciliation.
Monitors TRACS.
Assists in remote lease signing support.
Special Claims.
HUD Repayment Agreements.
Performs internal audits of tenant files.
Provides daily compliance help desk support.
Assists in Section 8 lease-ups.
Monitors changes in LIHTC and HUD regulations and requirements and implements changes as indicated.
Possesses knowledge of the Federal Fair Housing Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Annual training in these areas is required.
Attends training as required. Successful completion of LIHTC and HUD training including a passing score on the exam.
Fulfill all other assigned duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related industry-specific software.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or higher preferred.
At least two years of related affordable housing property management experience.
Certification in LIHTC and Section 8 compliance.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Work Context:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Engage in communication via e-mail, text, phone calls, virtual meetings, and face-to-face discussions.
