Roving Compliance Specialist – Affordable Housing
Full-time: 40 hours per week

Objectives of this Role/Job Description
Assisting sites with completing recertifications
Assisting sites with initial file reviews for recertifications
Assisting sites with move-ins if needed
Assisting sites with resident relations
Assisting with office coverage if needed, when managers are out sick or on vacation
Assisting sites with lease audits and data entry
Working closely with Regional VP and Regional Operations Coordinator to support the properties
Responsible for reviewing and processing resident and applicant Tax Credit certification paperwork, processing monthly compliance reports, updating property information into Yardi software including units, utility allowances, income, and rent limits, and spot checking property files and leasing activities for compliance to Fair Housing laws and regulations
This position requires a working knowledge of Tax Credit or affordable housing programs in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of LIHTC program is a requirement. Knowledge of YARDI Voyager software or similar systems is a plus. The successful candidate will possess the ability to multitask, make smart and timely decisions with limited guidance, and be highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and collaborative work style.
Desirable Qualifications
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Extremely organized and structured
Able to work well under pressure, is self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work with or without direct supervision
Required Experience
Presently or recently employed with a property management company
Minimum of 2 years of property management experience or administrative/accounting assistance
Minimum of 2 or more years of experience working in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program; HUD experience is a plus but not required
Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgement and maintain confidentiality
Effective conflict resolution and customer service skills
Ability to set priorities and multi-task with a strong attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of Yardi and RentCafe, or other property management software preferred
