Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized, energetic, self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and takes ownership in all aspects of their work. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service talents, multitasking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to react with appropriate discretion and urgency to situations or events requiring quick response and superb communication. This candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional service and hospitality to consistently exceed customer expectations, finding great satisfaction in helping to create a sense of community. They will also demonstrate a strong sense of initiative, a collaborative work style, and a strong work ethic, taking pride in accurate data entry, accounting, reporting, and administrative work products. This position may require weekend and holiday work. Physical aspects of the job include lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds, standing/walking for long periods, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and balancing.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reviewing and processing all resident and applicant tax credit certification paperwork.
Processing monthly compliance reports.
Updating property information into Yardi software including units, utility allowances, income, and rent limits.
Spot checking property files and leasing activities for compliance to Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Timely, accurate recordkeeping to ensure property compliance according to affordable-housing standards.
Intensive, professional customer service interacting with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention.
Timely, accurate recording of required data using Yardi Property Management software.
Prepare and generate documents and reports, manage routine processes and correspondence.
Collaborate to support property marketing strategies consistent with established procedures.
General administrative support for the Business Manager, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Working knowledge of Tax Credit or affordable housing programs.
Knowledge of LIHTC program.
Knowledge of Yardi software, WBARS, or similar software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgement and maintain confidentiality.
Effective conflict resolution and customer service skills.
Ability to set priorities and multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
