.Job Description: UMMG Staff Physician (Pediatric Pulmonology)SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology is seeking a Per Diem faculty member. Candidates must have an MD/DO, be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pulmonology and licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida. Candidates will be at the assistant professor level of the clinical educator track. Patients are seen at the 250-bed Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial Medical Center, the Batchelor Children’s Research Institute on the UM medical campus, and at UHealth at Kendall, as well as community sites in Miami-Dade and Broward. The Pediatric Pulmonology Division participates in multi-center clinical trials under the auspices of the Therapeutic Development Network (TDN) of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and conducts research in the fields of asthma. The Department of Pediatrics has a large residency program, and the Pulmonology Division operates a fellowship programOUTLINE OF ESSENTIAL JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

TO INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:· The Pediatric Pulmonology faculty member will have demonstrated both clinical and scholarly expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.· The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of collaborative groups.QUALIFICATIONS:· Valid Medical Degree· Board eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Pulmonology· Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to applyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:· Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.· Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care.· Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with staff, patients, and family members.· Must demonstrate the ability to meet responsibilities of the positionWORKING ENVIRONMENT:· Must be able to physically respond when on-call· Hospital maintains safety and infection control programs in place to reduce risk to employeesThe University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
