The successful candidate will be based in California and will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation on issues pertaining to eminent domain.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documentsRepresent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedingsPrepare and present evidence at administrative and judicial hearingsAdvise clients on legal issues related to eminent domain, including valuation, compensation, and eminent domain lawCollaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals and other attorneysManage and prioritize a high volume of cases, ensuring that all deadlines are metDevelop and maintain positive relationships with clients and other stakeholdersRequirements
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the California Bar4+ years' complex litigation experience, with public agency acquisitions, eminent domain and inverse condemnation litigationStrong legal research and writing skillsExcellent negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSound judgment and problem-solving ability
