Identify, develop, and drive new business opportunities with distribution in the North American Mining marketsDefine, develop, and implement sales strategies to effectively sell engines and systemsEstablish achievable but challenging short- and long-term goals designed to promote and increase Rolls-Royce Solutions market penetration in miningEstablish and/or enhance existing customer relationships, at the highest management levelStructure, negotiate, and secure sales contracts, in close collaboration with controllingWork with the Service Sales team to negotiate and secure service-related contracts (e.g. VCA, EC)Provide project management leadership for mining projectsMaintain regular contact with Rolls-Royce Solutions distributors, dealers and end-usersManage assigned account responsibilities from a total sales & service support perspectiveTrack and report market trends, competitor activity, business conditions and account status, which will affect businessLiaise with internal departments to optimize technical and commercial solutionsPrepare and provide professional sales presentations to distributors, dealers and end-usersResolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner to create goodwill and achieve future sales successProvide accurate and timely input for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecastingMaintain knowledge of mtu products, applications and policies and ensures distribution contacts remain currentAttend local trade shows and events and reports activitiesControl expendituresKeep company property clean, organized, and operationalPromote a compliance culture in your area of responsibility and live the letter and spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of ConductPerform special projects as requiredWork Environment:

Daily work is performed in an office and outside sales environments. This position has a traditional work schedule (Monday - Friday). Weekend travel may be required.

While performing duties of this position, employee will visit the customer's mine sites and may be required to work inside or outside of the facility. The employee must pass a health physical for mine access as required by each mining company. The mine sites can be at an altitude up to 5000 meters. While working outside, employee will occasionally endure hot, cold, and humid temperature conditions. The employee is also occasionally required to work in environmental conditions where there are fumes, odors, gases, and dust. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous. The employee is responsible for wearing hearing and other personal protective equipment as needed.

While performing the duties of this position in various work environments, physical demands on the employee include the ability to sit, stand, stoop, climb stairs, maintain balance, kneel, crouch and squat. Specific vision requirements for this position include having the ability to adjust focus and see in color.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business field and 5 years of experience in technical sales & service management of industrial equipment, or 9 years of experience in technical sales & service management of industrial equipmentStrong technical knowledge & demonstrated success in value selling complex power systems including diesel enginesSelf-starter with the ability and willingness to work independently for extended time periods, without direct supervision and directionExcellent ability to make independent decisionsExcellent oral, presentation and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent negotiation skillsHigh level of analytical ability and critical thinkingStrong leadership skills, especially in addressing issues that cross internal departmentsProficient with PC, CRM, MS Office SuiteProficient in EnglishAbility to travel domestic & international up to 50% of the timePreferred:
