Growing together. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Advise UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Part D businessCounsel on Part D product, clinical (Pharmaceutical & Therapeutic Committee, formulary development), marketing, and regulatory requirementsProvide strategic counsel to the business on the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Agreements, benefit implementation and management, and compliance oversight and monitoringProvide counsel and subject matter expertise on the CMS rules and regulations, the False Claims Act, and the Federal Anti-kickback StatuteSupport key areas for regulatory advocacyCollaborate with colleagues across the legal and compliance departmentsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Juris Doctorate degreeCurrent, active licensure within state of residence5+ years of experience as a licensed attorneyFamiliarity with the Medicare ProgramFamiliarity with the Federal False Claims Act and Federal Anti-Kickback StatutePreferred Qualifications:2+ years of relevant legal experience in health carePart D, insurance, regulatory, or other healthcare experienceExperience providing strategic legal advice as in house counselExperience with regulatory agenciesDemonstrated understanding of business problems related to assigned legal projects and ability to evaluate and determine appropriate course of legal action to meet business unit needsProven success in collaborating across a matrixed legal departmentProven well-developed presentation skillsProven ability to drive resultsProven ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environmentProven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented workplaceProven ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraintsProven ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and external company contactsRequired Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid work ethicComfortable taking ownership and accountability for projects*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter PolicyCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
