Primary Responsibilities:
Advise UnitedHealthcare's Medicare Part D business
Counsel on Part D product, clinical (Pharmaceutical & Therapeutic Committee, formulary development), marketing, and regulatory requirements
Provide strategic counsel to the business on the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Agreements, benefit implementation and management, and compliance oversight and monitoring
Provide counsel and subject matter expertise on the CMS rules and regulations, the False Claims Act, and the Federal Anti-kickback Statute
Support key areas for regulatory advocacy
Collaborate with colleagues across the legal and compliance departments

Juris Doctorate degree
Current, active licensure within state of residence
5+ years of experience as a licensed attorney
Familiarity with the Medicare Program
Familiarity with the Federal False Claims Act and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant legal experience in health care
Part D, insurance, regulatory, or other healthcare experience
Experience providing strategic legal advice as in house counsel
Experience with regulatory agencies
Demonstrated understanding of business problems related to assigned legal projects and ability to evaluate and determine appropriate course of legal action to meet business unit needs
Proven success in collaborating across a matrixed legal department
Proven w ell-developed presentation skills
Proven a bility to drive results
Proven a bility
to work effectively in an ambiguous environment
Proven a bility
to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented workplace
Proven a bility
to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
Proven a bility

The salary range for
this role
is $122,100 to $234,700 annually.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group

all minimum wage laws as applicable.
