Learn more at .About the roleWe are looking for a software engineer with expertise in AV mapping creation and management. Your contributions will focus on building out key capabilities of our core AV map development products. You will also drive the design and development of these products that empower mapping teams at leading AV companies to build and scale MD and HD maps for the safe deployment of their vehicles.In addition to your engineering contributions, by working in our dynamic and customer-focused team culture, you will contribute to and learn from best practices in the nascent autonomy industry. If you are hands-on and looking for a place to have a multiplying effect on making autonomous systems a reality, Applied Intuition is the place for you! At Applied Intuition, you will:Design and build infrastructure and tools to provide the best map creation and management tools for customer teams tackling the issue of creating maps at scale (think continent-scale maps!)Help ensure that the maps that go on tomorrow’s autonomous vehicles are fresh and error-freeWork closely with in-house and customer engineers to help deploy best practices for AV map creation and managementWe’re looking for someone who has:A passion for turning their mapping domain expertise into tooling that boosts the productivity of teams working on various real-world applications of autonomous systems2+ years of experience building or managing MD or HD map data that has been used for autonomous vehiclesDeep understanding of the concepts and methods behind any frameworks or libraries that they worked withNice to have:MSc or PhD in computer science, robotics, mathematics, or another mapping related fieldExperience building and shipping high quality softwareFamiliarity with geospatial and visualization libraries, such as GEOS, Shapely, and three.jsThe salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.Don’t meet every single requirement?
