RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, and Metropolitan Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Newark, NJ are seeking a BC/BE full-time Pediatrician specializing in Child Abuse in Newark, New Jersey.

Requirements:
- BC/BE in Pediatrics
- Experience in Child Abuse and Maltreatment & General Pediatrics
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive medical evaluations and or chart reviews for child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect.
- In hospital consultations, which may include visits with the child victim.
- Participation in our ongoing commitment to education and research
- Provide teachings through didact sessions to pediatric house staff, medical students, mental health clinicians, social workers and law enforcement, if the opportunities arise

About Metropolitan Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center:
The Metro RDTC in Newark is one of New Jerseys four state-designated multidisciplinary centers for the evaluation and treatment of abused and neglected children. We primarily serve children and families who reside in Essex County. Our team of physicians, social workers and psychologists are experts in the field of child maltreatment. They provides compassionate, expert medical and psychosocial services for suspected victims of all types of child abuse and neglect, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and emotional abuse and emotional trauma.
They work closely with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), the county prosecutors offices, the Office of the Public Defender Division of the Law Guardian, as well as hospitals, physicians, the courts, community groups and other organizations dedicated to restoring the health and well-being of abused and neglected children throughout New Jersey.
