Perform day-to-day administration and support of applications. Evaluates, documents, implements, tests, and performs incident resolution and root cause analysis of a variety of applications. Work with various software environments, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Assists with application projects based on the direction of Sr. Director of IT.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and troubleshoot systems, including hardware and software. Provides setup, operation, and technical support of multimedia equipment for audio-visual events occurring in the Rose Gaming Resort as well in other convention spaces on property. This role includes operating, maintaining, installing, configuring, repairing, and upgrading a wide range of audio-visual equipment while also ensuring its optimal performance. Maintain accurate system documentation, procedures, and logical and physical diagrams. Collects and reviews system data for troubleshooting purposes. Calls software vendors, if needed, to request assistance in troubleshooting. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes. Take ownership of minor tasks, problems, or operational efforts. Knowledge of internal business processes as they relate to the applications and make recommendations as needed. Act in a supporting role on larger project and maintenance efforts. Participates to ensure application compliance, such as MICS, PCI, and HIPPA. Occasionally performs duties of subordinates and other duties as needed. Performs product evaluations, recommends, and implements minor products/services. Work with some supervision/oversight and learns new technologies using self-study materials. Ability to articulate technical information clearly and simply to customers or other non-technical personnel. Provide support for 24x7 business operations including on-call. Follow incident, problem, and change & release management processes. Multi-task and work in cross-functional teams. Schedule and perform maintenance of all client PCs, POS terminals, to include software patching and antivirus updates. Assist Systems Administrators with the maintenance and configuration of network related hardware/software, including Active Directory, Group Policy management. Work with Systems Administrators on special projects and researching new technologies. Assist with the development of junior level technicians. Provide Tier 1 and 2 levels of Help Desk support, to include covering Help Desk phone, e-mail support requests and Help Desk tickets. Maintain and ensure all enterprise backups and data storage. Maintain and provide reporting on hardware and software inventory, to include all PCs, laptops, printers, consumables, etc., in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs in-office duties including, but not limited to, invoice tracking, filing, and processing, purchase quoting, tracking, and processing. REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
Attend required training sessions offered by the Company. Obtain and retain required license(s). Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department. Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming. Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Five or more years Microsoft Windows based PC support experience - MCP, Network+ and Security+ preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred in related field (or equivalent experience) and/or 3 years equivalent work experience. Thorough knowledge of PC desktop computer hardware, Windows Desktop OS (all current versions) and printer troubleshooting skills required. Two or more years' experience with Windows based networks, LDAP and Active Directory Services Strong Windows networking skills including TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting DNS desired. Experience with remote desktop access in a Windows environment Extensive knowledge of all MS Operating Systems, MS Office (all current versions), Internet connectivity, printer connectivity, and help desk disciplines. Previous experience supporting a large user community (500 users +), and a minimum 5 years of IT related support is highly desirable. Familiarity with Windows Server Local Admin security, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office Suites. Experience with remote monitoring, administration tools, and VPN experience on Windows Servers Two or more years' experience in Ethernet network cabling Previous experience with Agilisys Point of Sales system is a plus. Previous experience with AS/400 systems is a plus. Experience maintaining vendor relationships including the purchase of hardware and software products is required. Excellent communication skills Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire. The ability to lift, push and pull up to 50-100 pounds.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver's License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
