SYSCOM is seeking a full-time .NET Developer to help support the existing Portal system of our client. The Portal system is a centralized website providing a myriad of functions to customers external to the client. The Portal is written in VB.NET and uses ASP.NET Web Forms as its major technologies. Included in support of the Portal is support of numerous extract transfer loads (ETL) received from various entities.
Work Location: Primary place of work is remote. In the future, the resource may be requested to come onsite and work in St. Paul, MN.Duration: 1 year project with potential for project extension
Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designsFormulate program specifications and basic prototypesTransform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the .NET family of languagesIntegrate individual software solutions to higher level systemsUse web-based tools to create and advance applicationsTest code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessaryPerform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficientModernize existing applications by re-writing them in newer technologyProvide knowledge transferMinimum Qualifications - must meet all:
Four (4) years' experience with .NET developmentFour (4) years' experience with Entity FrameworkThree (3) years' experience with SQL Server / T-SQLTwo (2) years' experience with ASP.NET Web FormsCriminal Justice experienceExperience and knowledge of the full Software Development LifecycleData Extract Transfer Load (ETL) experienceSQL Server Reporting ServicesExperience and knowledge in secure software development methodologiesCurrent residence status within the St. Paul, Minnesota area
