Ultrasound Technologist - PRN Weekend rotation

We are seeking to fill the Ultrasound Technologist position for our office to work on a PRN basis at our Tampa, FL location. We are looking for an experienced Sonographer who actively supports and promotes our commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive, state-of-the-art fertility care. Candidates should be passionate about working with a team and providing great customer service.The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the daily performance of diagnostic ultrasounds. The sonographer must perform high quality scans and be able to adequately meet the needs of the physicians and the department. Responsibilities:Preparing for diagnostic testsSet up ultrasound machine for diagnostic testView patient chart for previous studies and pertinent informationInput appropriate charges ensuring medical necessityEnsure physician needs are met to increase resource utilizationEnsure protocols and standards are up to date for accreditationPerform diagnostic tests in a timely mannerExplain proceduresPerform appropriate ultrasound procedureAssess need for additional follow up examsNotify ordering physician of abnormal exams before patient leaves the officeEnsure documentation is obtainedProvide superior service to ensure customer satisfaction to both patients and providersEnsure Customer Satisfaction, call patients by name and check date of birthWeekend rotation is required, one time per monthExam Room Maintenance:Clean and maintain equipment, maintain stock of suppliesStock linens and maintain rooms in a neat and orderly mannerEnsure all imaging equipment are up to date with preventative maintenanceQualifications:MUST have valid sonography certification.Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with OB/GYN certificationCertified in first trimester screening2 years experience in OB/GYN or Fertility practiceCurrent BLS certification
