Job Description
Support the Naval Sea Systems Command Code 03S (NAVSEA 03S) Digital Industrial Operations
(DIO) efforts concerning information technology services in support of the Navy Maritime
Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) Program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Works
under general supervision
•
Performs one or more of the following tasks in support of computer database administration:
architects, designs, oversees the development of, or administers computerized databases,
installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates
databases, configure databases (for data warehousing application), use import utilities to
install databases. Includes creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other
database objects, as well as, management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the
other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases.
•
Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the
database, and maintain a data correction log.
•
Create and maintain data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was
performed, tables and fields affected, submission affected, error code affected, and other
pertinent metadata.
•
Expand and update the data dictionary for the database and any related applications.
Qualifications:
•
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular
field.
Education:
0-5 years of experience in the field or a related area. ?
Years Experience:
Experience with IT and Cybersecurity ?
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
•
Normal Office Environment. Requires Sitting, Standing, Near Acuity, Speaking with
colleagues and customers, Listening, Sight, Use of hands/fingers.
