If you would like to be a part of our future team, please apply now!GENERAL SUMMARY : The Cardiology Clinical Associate is a vital member of our healthcare team, performing a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care and departmental efficiency. This role requires a balance of clinical skills, administrative acumen, and a strong commitment to patient service. The Cardiology Clinical Associate works under the supervision of physicians/providers.These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.DESCRIPTION:Duties and Responsibilities :Prepares patients for their examination with assigned physician/provider pursuant to established protocol.Performs other related duties aimed at facilitating efficient medical care as directed by the physician/provider.Coordinate daily patient calls for the cardiology clinic.Maintain an accurate record of the various trackers maintained in the cardiology clinic.Facilitate communication and documentation flow, including faxing schedules, managing cancellations, and maintaining medical records.Performs EKGs as directed by physician/provider according to CV lab protocol.Maintains appropriate inventory levels of supplies and medications, and further ensures that all outdated supplies and medications are removed from inventory.Assists in maintaining patient medical record by completing all required documentation and forms and ensures all diagnostic reports are present.Administers injections per physician/provider order, ensuring all patient rights are maintained, including appropriate documentation.Schedules patient appointments pursuant to physician/provider protocol.Assists in ensuring that all billing encounter forms are accurate and consist of all services provided.Participates in Quality Improvement activities as directed.Participates in continuing education programs and all assigned meetings.Performs all other duties as assigned.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge :High School Diploma required.Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Illinois required.Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.B.L.S. or CPR Required.Skills :Abilities :Ability to quickly recognize changes in condition and needs of patients.Knowledge of patients’ growth and development needs.Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in carrying out work duties.Insight Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.Insight is an equal opportunity employer and values workplace diversity!
