Day Delivery Driver (Non CDL)

Position Summary:
Our Drivers deliver a wide range of products specific to our industry including pallets, boxes, coils of wire, bundles of pipe, and other electrical components, parts, and goods. Trucks are pre-loaded and depart from our Woburn, MA Central Distribution Center and orders are delivered to customer job sites across New England. Delivery stops are routed to maximize efficiency and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
Day Driver:
Standard hours are Monday through Friday 5am - 1:30pm. Overtime as required. Delivery routes are territory based and average 10-20 deliveries a day, including 2nd runs and local vendor pickups.
General Driver Responsibilities:Safely and accurately deliver customer orders while providing excellent customer service.Communicate with the Fleet and Transportation Manager on the status of the route.Delivers orders to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of delivery photos.Pick up parcels along the scheduled route, including customer items being returned, local vendor pick ups and other items as requested.Maintains basic records of vehicle, including pre and post trip electronic inspections.Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to Manager.Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed or prior to departure.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
At least two (2) years of experience safely and accurately completing deliveries.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
MUST possess a valid driver's license (DOT eligible) and clean driving recordAbility to Drive and Operate Non-CDL vehicles including Sprinter and Transit Vans, 16' Medium-Duty Trucks, and 26' Heavy Duty TrucksDOT complianceAbility to use navigation technology such as GPS and smartphone, or physical maps if neededWorking Conditions:
