Position Summary
:
ESC is seeking dynamic, energetic, and driven individuals to join our business and industry. This program will teach you about the exciting opportunities in the electrical distribution industry, and the relationship between distributors, electrical contractors, general contractors, architects, lighting designers, and building owners. Additionally, you'll learn how the supply chain (product manufacturers and their representation agencies) interact with a distributor to support the construction industry. While other direct-hire after graduation (Jump Start) opportunities focus on one particular part of the business, here at ESC we work with our Jump Start employees to support the development exposure to various parts of the business to custom tailor a Jump Start experience that meets your individual interests and strengths.
Responsibilities in Supply Chain
:Logistics: Partner with and take on specific projects and day-to-day activities under the support of the logistics team to understand and contribute to the optimization of the supply chain distribution process to improve efficiency and profitability.Procurement: Partner with and engage in day-to-day activities under the support of the purchasing and procurement team to source, evaluate and analyze potential vendors and suppliers, liaise between internal departments and suppliers to compare and negotiate contracts and prepare supply cost reports.Operations and Process Improvement: Engage in various aspects of day-to-day central distribution operational activities including utilizing the RF system, quality control/assurance, shipping, and delivery functions with a focus on continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
Experience:
Some Professional Employment Experienced
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM software preferred
