Administrative Assistant of the Colorado Catholic Conference

(30 Hours/Week)

REPORTS TO:

Executive Director of the Colorado Catholic Conference

ENTITY:

Colorado Catholic Conference: Archdiocese of Denver, Diocese of Colorado Springs, and the Diocese of Pueblo. The Colorado Catholic Conference (CCC) is the united voice of the Catholic Bishops of Colorado and serves to uphold the dignity of human life and the common good in public policy.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Administrative Assistant of the Colorado Catholic Conference (CCC) assists the Executive Director in fulfilling the work given to the Conference by its Board of Governors. Essential operational and administrative support will comprise the principal duties of the Administrative Assistant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Coordinate and manage projects essential to the Executive Director in conjunction with the Associate DirectorMaintain downtown office, including organization, dcor, supplies, and utilitiesCoordinate calendar, travel, and schedule appointments and meetings as needed for Executive and Associate DirectorsManage correspondence and communications as directed, including e-mail (CCC@cocatholic.org), paper mail, phone (voicemail), and Outlook contactsSubmit monthly expense reports for Executive Director's approvalSubmit invoices for Executive Director's approvalManage various seasonal, personnel, and event-related communications and correspondence as neededPlan and coordinate events in conjunction with Executive and Associate DirectorsAny other duties as assigned by Executive DirectorQualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to the Catholic Conference or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals2-3 years' experienceGeneral knowledge of the political process and Catholic magisteriumClear and consistent verbal and written communicationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and productsEffective interpersonal and organizational skillsProven ability to be a self-starter with a proven record of punctuality and dependabilityAbility to manage all assignments with excellence and meet deadlinesAbility to professionally handle confidential informationPHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

This position requires ability to sit for extended periodsStanding, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, and squatting also will be required as necessary to perform the duties of the positionTO APPLY:

Full parental leave can be used if employed 12 months or longer. Half (30 days for mothers/15 days for fathers) can be used if employed 6 months to a year.
