About the job
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with customer service, sales team, buyers and production team. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of order planning, scheduling, and coordination through the production and delivery cycle.
Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Richmond, VA.
As a part of the team, you will:
Review, enter, and acknowledge customer orders, ensuring alignment with capacity and material availability through thorough analysis.Provide accurate delivery dates for customer orders, leveraging our ERP system and associated tools, and effectively communicate product lead times to the Sales team.Coordinate and monitor products throughout the entire production and delivery cycle, collaborating closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Shipping departments to ensure the precise delivery of customer orders.Serve as the primary point of contact for the Sales team regarding all order-related inquiries, addressing concerns and providing timely updates.Assist in the development and implementation of production planning and inventory management methodologies to enhance efficiency and meet organizational goals.Optimize Delivery On Time (DOT) performance, investigating and reporting root causes for any delays, and implementing corrective actions.Drive initiatives to reduce takt time across the manufacturing process, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity.Take a leadership role in continuous improvement activities, facilitating brainstorming sessions, analyzing data, and implementing best practices to drive operational excellence.What you know:
You have Associates degree in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain with relevant experience and:
1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company environment.Proficiency in manufacturing MRP/ERP systems.Experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Nice To Haves:
