ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Operations Director to lead our sales operations function and drive efficiency and effectiveness across our sales organization. The Sales Operations Director will play a critical role in optimizing sales processes, implementing sales strategies, and maximizing revenue growth. This role will also be responsible for overseeing sales reporting and analytics, providing insights to inform decision-making, and managing a team of sales operations professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.

Conduct analysis of sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.

Partner with sales leadership to define sales territories, quotas, and compensation plans.

Sales Process Optimization:

Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and develop solutions to streamline operations and improve productivity.

Implement sales automation tools and technologies to support sales activities and enhance efficiency.

Establish and maintain sales policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.

Sales Reporting and Analytics:

Oversee the development and maintenance of sales reporting dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to track performance and provide actionable insights.

Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Generate regular and ad-hoc sales reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Forecasting and Planning:

Partner with Demand Planning team on the sales forecasting process, including collecting input from sales teams, analyzing historical data, and developing accurate sales forecasts.

Monitor sales pipeline, prebooks, and new product launch data to provide visibility into future revenue opportunities and risks.

Work closely with Finance, Operations, Demand Planning teams to align sales forecasts with overall business plans and budget targets.

Team Management and Development:

Lead and develop a high-performing sales operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team goals.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales operations team.

Identify training and development needs and implement initiatives to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with sales leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners.

Partner with sales leadership to understand their needs and priorities and ensure that sales operations initiatives align with business objectives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or related role, preferably in the consumer goods industry.

Proven track record of driving sales process optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.

Proficiency in sales reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI).

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

Passion for consumer goods and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works in a typical office environment and at times may have up to travel for business related meetings.
