Business Development Manager

within our Global Mobility group focusing on bicycles and e-bikes.The Mobility Business Development Manager develops and executes business strategies to grow sales of drive systems in the mobility market segment of traditional and electric bikes. Activities are focused on prospecting and direct customer engagement for early cycle specification, and continued customer management to ensure start of production. The scope also includes developing sales/distribution channels, pricing and revenue models, new product line strategies, as well as developing strategic partnerships. The business development role is global in nature, collaborating with international colleagues to win and support customers that have product management, production, and sales across the globe. This position will have regular international connections in Asia and Europe, and will need to work directly with OE customers, as well as through staff members, major distributors and regional sales organizations.Key Responsibilities (to Name a Few)

Grow Gates bike market sales faster than the market in the US and EuropeGenerate OE specification of Gates products at large brands to drive volumeChampion and lead global opportunity pipeline to support growth targetsCreate and expand technical and marketing tools to accelerate salesDevelop technical literature and software tools to support the integration of Gates productsDevelop & improve marketing materials to promote Gates products on new bicycles.Execute Business Development StrategyDevelop and execute business development strategy to support long term growth in the bike marketEngage regional teams with cascaded accountabilitiesChampion Bicycle Product Line StrategyIdentify and champion new products to support market growth in premium, and mainstream segments.With voice of customer, develop detailed product development input for product engineering.Collaborate with strategic market to include product strategy in multigeneration product plans.About You

5+ years of progressive bicycle industry experience, including business development, engineering, product management, international assignments and responsibilities.Bachelor of science degree required; engineering specialtyDomestic/International travel 25%+Passion and familiarity with bicycles and eBikesStrong contacts within the industry of the assigned mobility market segments; including customers, suppliers, partners, and major distributors.Strong English written and verbal communication; strong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Pay & Benefits
