A leading $5BN AUM Hedge Fund based in the New York City area focusing within the Systematic Equities space is actively looking to expand its Trading group by adding a talented and detail-oriented Trading Operations Analyst. As a Trading Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the trading desk, ensuring smooth execution of trades, and maintaining efficient processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced traders and gain invaluable insights into the equities trading space.
Key Responsibilities:Provide operational support for the equities trading desk, including trade booking, reconciliation, and settlement activities.Monitor trade lifecycle events and ensure timely resolution of any issues or discrepancies.Liaise directly with external brokers and fund administrators on break resolutions.Collaborate with various internal teams, including risk management, compliance, and technology, to streamline trading processes and optimize efficiency.Generate reports and analyze trading data to identify areas for improvement and drive decision-making.Stay informed about market developments and regulatory changes that may impact trading operations.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.2+ years of experience in trading operations or a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to equities trading.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
