The Software Developer assists in the creation and maintenance of software by working across departments to understand end user needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and test software to meet consumers' and clients' needs.Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirementsTesting and deploying programs and applicationsTroubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing softwareCompiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performanceObserving user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software productsDeveloping technical documentation to guide future software development projectsDeveloping quality assurance proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degreeAt least 2-4 years of experienceSkills and Abilities:
Strong problem-solving and communication skillAbility to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a teamProficiency in popular coding languages including C#, Python, JavaScript, JavaDatabase application: SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQLClient-side technology: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, BootstrapExperience with Agile and Scrum development methodologiesWeb APIExperience with GitHub or Microsoft Team Foundation ServicesKnowledge of cloud computing: AWS or AzureKnowledge of Ubuntu / Linux OSPhysical Requirements:
Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
