ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned: Responsible for promoting and following all established environmental, health and safety policies and practices. Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned work area(s). Informs Supervisor of safety, quality and/or other problems which occur during the shift including, but not limited to over-run of parts, shortages or material issues. Receives, verifies, inspects and verifies counts on departmental raw material, sub-assemblies, assemblies, packing material and associated product documentation and administrative data.Is held accountable for reviewing manufacturing orders for correct material, documentation, quality, quantity and inspection steps. Is familiar with material, packaging and labeling of production orders. Fits and assembles parts into assembly, kit or finished good. Follows production order instructions for assembly of product. Responsible for quality and visual presentation of work. Completes requisitions, work orders or other requests for materials, tools and stock items to ensure delivery is on time to the production areas. Sets up machine according to procedures already established or according to good manufacturing practices so that quality products are manufactured at acceptable levels. Runs, adjusts and maintains process controls on machine.Keeps set-up time, downtime, rejects and scrap to a minimum. Records required data on forms for batch records. Follows all procedures for operation of machinery, cleaning procedures and dress code. Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis. Keeps work area clean and well organized and assists in keeping entire facility in the same condition. Works within the guidelines of ISO and EHS. Understands the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives. Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance and comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with OPS. Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations and maintains work area in a clean and safe manner. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Two (2) years' experience in fast-paced, high volume warehouse Good reading, math and written & oral communications skills required Legible handwriting a must Ability to work from verbal or written instructions required Time Management Ability to read, write and communicate in English language Familiar with warehouse operations, storing and retrieving stock, and associated paperwork WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
