Essential Functions
:Transporting MaterialsPackingInventory ProcessingTransporting MaterialsDrive/ maneuver tow motor, handcart, or pallet jackAfter arriving at proper location, use lift gears to adjust for position and maneuver materials or use proper body mechanics to lift materials and place in proper locationsHandle skids of raw material with tow motor/ cartTake raw material to press roomReturn unused materials to storeroomMove parts to and from plating departmentUnload trucks and distribute material to proper locations (includes UPS receiving)Take inbound shipments of flashlight parts to receiving inspectionEmpty hoppers of scrap into large outside luggersTake all finished parts to shipping, parts stores or holding areaDump parts out of bulk container into shipping containerPackingPut appropriate material into boxesUse electronic or manual scale to weigh materials and skidsPush/ pull box along roller lineFold box flaps and use tape to sealOperate bar code label system- Weber Marketing machineUse banding machine to band boxes together when necessaryShrink wrap boxes together on a skid when appropriateMay need to cut boxes down with utility knife if too largeInventory ProcessingGo through packing slips to check for any packaging requirementsPull packing slips as neededProcessing paperwork including bill of ladings and UPS shipping and receivingKeep track of packaging supplies and shipping materialsKeep written records of all material on handRecord materials to and from work in processCheck each shipment to assure materials received check with freight bills and packing slipsKeep current records of rejected material, includes keeping inspection department informed of weightsKeep an orderly system of raw material locationsMaintain current inventory of scrap on handAssist truck driver with part numbers and quantities of stamping and flashlight parts going to outside servicesAffix proper labels/tags to boxes
