SATCOM Field Technician

to excel at the following job responsibilities:Plan and execute satellite communications teleport installationsSupport satellite communications operations to provide service to the KGSN and its customersConduct preventative and corrective maintenance on satellite communications ground and teleport systemsGenerate varied site design products such as system & sub-system specifications, CONOPS diagrams, site, system drawings and test plans/reportsAct as a self-starter in creating quality and responsive solutions meeting company and customer satellite communications technical and operational network performance requirementsActively participate in and/or lead projects as assigned to achieve company goalsPlans and executes shipping and related logistics tasks to support field development activitiesWork closely with KGSN network operations staff to ensure availability for customersEngage and coordinate with 3rd party vendors to acquire material and/or service solutions required to meet buildout requirementsExecute antenna system setup, configuration, and testingConduct system anomaly investigation and resolution to support network operationsCreate and maintain user and in-house technical documentationCreate and maintain knowledge base articles / technical notes as solutions are identifiedPerforms work center additional dutiesProvide training and guidance to new team membersPrioritize time and projects, working independently5 or more years required experience in SATCOM systems design, installation, operations, test, and sustainmentHands on experience installing, operating, and sustaining SATCOM RF components (LNBs, power supplies, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.)Possess a practical understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) communications technology, systems, practices, and toolsExperience in designing and implementing supporting SATCOM antenna infrastructure, i.e., foundation/structure support, electrical service installation, network accessKnowledge of SATCOM network operations with an understanding of best practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot system issues in a timely manner with minimal assistanceRequires analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data, do research, diagnose, and solve problemsExperience working with Microsoft office suite toolsAptitude to understand and adopt online collaboration toolsDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others, particularly in TeamsStrong work ethic and flexibility to work as required to meet company milestonesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented and organizedAvailability and willingness to travel up to 50% in support of site buildout, operation, and sustainment activitiesAbility to obtain Secret Clearance is requiredOn-Call

Desired Skills and Experience

Military veterans and spouses are highly encouraged to applyBachelors of Science degree in technical fieldActive Secret Clearance10 or more years of related experience

Competitive salary based on experience and educationSalary Range: $72,000-$94,000
