At NYSTEC, we know that we succeed when individuals and teams flourish personally and professionally, so our benefits and perks support that mindset.About the Role:As an enterprise solution architect in the Technical Architecture and Communication Systems (TACS) practice area, you will collaborate with team members in guiding digital transformation through transformation and optimization initiatives.Serving as an enterprise solution architect, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategies and capabilities that drive growth, reduce costs, and improve sustainability. Your expertise in financial analysis will be instrumental in developing strong business cases and cost/benefit analyses for various approaches.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with business leaders to develop and execute strategies that respond to industry trends and support business objectives. Translate business strategies into actionable plans and technology solutions.Engage and build lasting relationships with business and IT stakeholders.Adapt and respond effectively to changing business and operating models.Analyze trends and disruptions, assessing their impact on targeted business outcomes.Visualize future states and initiate long-term planning through storytelling.Support and advocate for both project-centric and product-centric operating models.Communicate the value and services of enterprise architecture effectively.Drive the evolution of the team's services and operating model.Mentor and coach solution architects, product owners/managers, and business stakeholders, fostering a culture of architectural thinking.Ensure that security and compliance considerations are integrated into all aspects of architecture. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
About You:Required Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of business ecosystems, software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), service-oriented architecture (SOA), application programming interfaces (APIs), microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.Strong understanding of business and operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks.Proficiency in information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, and agile and lean methodologies.Exceptional leadership, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.Strong consulting skills, including targeted communication, engagement management, and stakeholder management.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis, or a related field, along with eight years of experience in strategic operations planning, business analysis, or as an enterprise architect consultant.An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
