Selectek is looking for a Senior Project Network Engineer who will be responsible for leading both projects and staff to deliver projects of a high quality and timely manner.This is a contract to direct opportunity in San Jose, CA – the job will be in-office.ÂApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Required:
5+ years as a Network Engineer + experience managing projectsIndoor Wireless LAN Site Surveys using Ekahau or AirMagnetOutdoor Wireless Network Modeling using EDX or ATOL or any type of LinkExperience with the following hardware and software:
WiFi Network HardwarePoint to Point Wireless Network HardwareNetwork services such as NTP, DNS, DHCP, etc
Experience with low latency applications such as voice and videoStrong IPv6 skillExperience with (Ruckus or Cisco or Aruba) Wired or Wireless equipment in a production enterprise environment
Responsibilities:
Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needsArchitect, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise class wired and wireless networks.Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skillHost project meetings at least once a week with team and managersProvide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team membersManage deadlines and push the team to ensure timelinessCoordinate with vendors and suppliers as neededDelegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete themServing as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergyCommunicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
