Position: Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Contract Length: 6 months + (budget approved through end of 2023 so will extend)
**Project Overview: This role will lead RBS in their Azure Kubernetes adoption for Microservices hosting platform.**
Responsibilities:Implement reusable automated CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate closely with waterfall-centric teams to drive adoption of DevOps practices and toolingEvangelize automation throughout the software pipeline, including code scanning, test automation and infrastructure-as-codeImplement dashboards and metricsProvide team guidance on agile and DevOps practicesMust Haves:
Hands on DevOps Automation experienceKubernetes/Docker container automationAzure or AWS/Google Cloud or Hybrid Cloud experienceQualifications:
7+ years of relevant work experience in related aspects of software engineeringPassion for working with software pipeline automation technologiesEngineering experience implementing CI/CD automation, including tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and Azure DevOpsUnderstanding of code quality tools and practices (SAST/DAST, SonarQube, pair programming, code coverage, code review, etc.)Strong verbal and visual communication skillsExcellent diagnostic, debugging, and troubleshooting skillsAble to adapt quickly to change without being afraid to take on new responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment while being proactive and action-orientedPreferred candidates will also have:
Experience with containers, Docker and KubernetesExperience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps-related technologies is a plus (such as ARM Templates, AKS, Azure Container Registries)Experience with test automation tools/frameworks is a plus (Selenium, Junit, PyTest, etc.)Database knowledge and experience, particularly MS SQL, MySQL and Azure SQLExperience working in Agile teams
