Position is eligible for Hybrid Telework workweek

POSITION PURPOSE:Coordinates efforts between business owners within central office departments and systems to allow for data exchange and development. Assist and support staff with technical issues within all student information systems applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Google Apps;Considerable knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL);Considerable knowledge of software change management, defect management, and software support;Considerable knowledge of electronic project management tools;Effective negotiating and influencing skills;Effective time management skills;Critical thinking and problem solving skills;Ability to complete complex tasks and minimize errors with attention to detail;Ability to work independently and complete tasks in the absence of clear direction;Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, external agencies, and vendors.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCEBachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, business, math, or related field;Project management experience;Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTSNone

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of large school district business operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains a working knowledge of the data integration within the student information systems applications and how it impacts business processes.Maintains a working knowledge of all assigned business processes and a complete understanding of how the processes are integrated across systems and applications.Manages multiple projects while supporting internal operations; supports existing applications by acting as a liaison for problem and operational issue resolution.Stays abreast of Help Desk issues that relate to assigned business processes and assist in their resolution.Performs software testing for all updates and enhancements of student information systems applications for quality assurance.Works with various central office departments to evaluate their technical needs and gathers requirements for data integration or enhancements to applications.Assists the development team leader in planning and scheduling resources, as needed.Stays abreast of project progress and ensure that deadlines are met or revised, as appropriate.Ensures acceptable level of customer satisfaction and uses feedback to help improve relationships and work processes.Performs other related duties, as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, and the community. Work at times requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or exert up to 10 pounds. Physical requirements are consistent with those for light work.
