Title: Java Architect
Location: Dallas, TX (HYBRID)
We are looking for a hands-on Java professional, passionate about technology, and having good problem-solving skills. Experienced in delivering highly available, scalable distributed systems. Involved in all phases of software development and collaborated with geographically dispersed teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop solutions for Java-based back end, database, and messaging.
Implementing clean code, adhering to standard coding and design principles, and following TDD.
Integrate with CI/CD.
Facilitate and contribute actively to code review sessions, and design review sessions.
Work collaboratively in an agile setup with team members located across different locations and time zones.
Develop new skills to contribute as a multi-functional team member (potential areas for secondary skills: Cloud readiness, Security, Monitoring, and Measuring Tools).
Required Skills:
Strong in Core Java
Good in Spring ecosystem
Good in REST, XML, and JSON
Good problem-solving skills
Good debugging and troubleshooting skills
Strong analysis (both requirements and system) and design skills.
Kafka - 2 to 4 years • Kafka Streams - 1 to 2 years
Confluent Platform (Schema Registry, Connect, Rest Proxy) - 1 to 2 years
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins or equivalent, Maven/Gradle, Git, and developer efficiency tools).
Experience with Unit testing and Integration testing tools and frameworks (Junit, Mockito, Jbehave, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Experience with Event Sourced Systems Design.
Experience in TDD • Experience with performance testing.
Experience with Spring Boot • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience building web services and cloud applications using AWS or others.
Follow agile best practices and maintain/improve the work of the agile team.
