Advocate Health is seeking a plastic surgeon with microvascular skills to join our physician-led medical group and serve patients at our quaternary facility, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Position highlights
- Full time plastic surgeon with microvascular fellowship training
- Aurora St. Luke's Medical center is a busy 938-bed quaternary care facility, the largest in Wisconsin, providing innovative care for patients from across the state and the country
- Our plastic surgeons provide services to patients throughout eastern Wisconsin within a coordinated multidisciplinary environment
- Collaborative partners meet regularly to discuss patient quality and service outcomes, and colleagues are available to support and assist as needed
- Six plastic surgeons share new consults, general plastic surgery referrals and call; 3 of the 6 also available for more complex microsurgery cases
- Broad spectrum reconstructive plastic surgery is required including reconstruction of face, trunk, and upper and lower extremity deformities due to injury, cancer and chronic wounds with skin grafts, pedicle flaps and free flaps; high volume of perforator flap breast reconstruction and extremity sarcoma cases
- St. Lukes is not a trauma hospital and plastic surgeons do not cover facial skeletal trauma or hand trauma
- Supportive staffing with RN, MA and dedicated APC
- Call 1:6 with RN triage in place
- EPIC EMR
- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
- Experience a diverse and inclusive environment ensuring safe and equitable care for all patients
- Starting salary range: $590,001-$590,001
- Sign-on bonus eligible
Training and/or experience required
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Fellowship in Microsurgery/microvascular surgery with excellent skills in microsurgery and breast reconstruction
- Practice experience preferred however will also consider new graduates if case logs produced demonstrate skill set required for this position
