Nurse Practitioner - Oncology

Currently, Englewood Health is seeking an APN (Advance Practice Nurse) for the oncology department. The APN will be an expert clinician and patient advocate in a particular specialty or sub-specialty of nursing practice. The Advance Practice Nurse can be a credentialed Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner. The Advance Practice Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems according to established joint nursing/medical protocols. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.

Job Essentials:
- Certified in chemotherapy/Biotherapy, knowledgeable with reviewing and writing chemo orders based on national guidelines.
- Provide symptom management and education related to treatment.
- Master's Degree required, Certified in Oncology preferred
- License/Certification/Registry: RN/NP license, AOCNP preferred

Our Cancer Center has 8 established DMTs each coordinated by recognized subspecialty Surgical and Medical Oncologists. We actively participate in clinical trials and educate medical students and house staff. Based in a brand new, state-of-the art facility, The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center includes a 36-bay infusion center, a cutting-edge Radiation Oncology suite with two new Varian True Beams, and the full range of medical, surgical, genetic counseling, and Palliative Care services. The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center is COC and NAPBC accredited and features oncology certified nurse practitioners, an oncology certified pharmacist, research coordinators, nurse navigators, nutritionists, chaplains, and integrative medicine providers.
