Overview
Position Summary:
The PA evaluates diagnoses, clinically monitors and manages oncology, hematology, and genetics patients utilizing advanced assessment skills and knowledge of clinical therapeutics. The PA role is an integrated one, which includes clinical, educational, and research components. Other roles include but are not limited to chemotherapy teaching, bone marrow biopsies, and cancer surveillance. The PA demonstrates expertise in providing clinical care and counseling to individuals concerned about medical oncology and hematologic related diseases and their risk of hereditary cancer.
Job Specifics
- Hematology/oncology physicians in this Center for Cancer Care attached to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a level one trauma center in Rockford, Illinois, are seeking a certified and Illinois licensed advanced practice nurse to work full-time treating patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with no weekend call.
- Services offered include IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy adherence programs, clinical trials, radiation therapy, cancer high risk genetics, and survivorship.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
